The Atlanta Speech School is the nation's most comprehensive center for language and literacy. Composed of three preschools - the Katherine Hamm Center for children who are deaf and hard of hearing, Kenan Preschool, an academic preschool for typically developing preschool aged children, and Stepping Stones Preschool for children who have speech and language delays as well as Wardlaw School, a K-6 elementary school for children with Dyslexia, Speech School programs share one mission. The mission of the Speech School is to bring deep reading to each and every child so they can find their voice and make the greatest difference in the lives of others. The shared vision is literacy and justice for all. For "all," the Speech School is also home to the Rollins Center for Language & LIteracy and its free online Cox Campus. The Rollins Center is the professional development arm of the school, advancing the science of reading to educators all over the world through our free learning platform, Cox Campus. In addition to teachers, across our programs we also employ assistant teachers, learning specialists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and literacy coaches.
